At Madeli we use ECONYL® regenerated nylon in all our products. ECONYL® is made from waste, otherwise polluting the Earth, such as fishing nets, fabric scraps and carpets. ECONYL® regenerated nylon performs exactly the same as brand new nylon but gives you a sustainability edge, turning trash into treasure.
To make 100 Madeli products we use 20,4kg of trash, and we have estimated a saving of 136 kg CO2 thanks to the use of regenerated nylon instead of the standard one.
At Madeli we share ECONYL® vision and mission: «Our appetite to create new products and buy new products is infinite.
The planet resources aren’t.»
In every production process it’s inevitable to waste some textile. At Madeli we commit to use 100% of our Econyl textile: we use the remaining one to create accessories that match with our collection…look out for our scrunchies at the check out!
And it’s not over: even the smallest piece is repurposed… wondering how? You will find out when opening your first Madeli order! Our tip? Looks great on your wrist…
We are tracking closely our carbon emission impact on the planet from the moment the fiber is produced, till the moment the product is shipped at your doorstep. We are working on lowering our impact with a zero impact objective in mind. Stay tuned for more detailed soon!
Plastic is a well-known issue for our planet… but is paper and cardboard really the best solution? While we believe the shift from plastic to cardboard packaging had positive impact in a lot of industries, we also know that 4 billion trees are cut down to make paper every year (=1% of the Amazon Rainforest), and in US for example, 30% of cardboard put out for recycling ends up being landfilled or incinerated due to contamination from food or other substances.
We are excited to announce that Madeli partners with RePack to provide a multi-use packaging solution. No more plastic, cardboard and single-use packaging! Once you receive your order, you will be able to easily resend the delivery package back to RePack, so that someone else can reuse it!
